I made this red Christmas garland last night, from scrap fabric. I cut it into strips and then tied each strip (single tie) onto a red ribbon, sliding them down the ribbon to bunch them up. It was very quick to make - only an hour or so. What I like is that it's very soft and bountiful - I find that most bought decorations are coarse and scratchy.
I made the felt decorations (a heart and a chicken) with my niece last New Year's Eve - good thinking, eh? Both the garland and felt decorations were made from scrap materials bought at Reverse Garbage, for any Brisbane people looking to make some things over the holidays.
